A new co-operative development body will help UK students to set up their own co-operative enterprises. The association, called Students for Cooperation, will function as a secondary co-operative and will try to establish new links between students and the wider co-operative movement.
"Students for co-operation" aim to make their voices heard at the annual conference of the National Union of Students taking place this week in Sheffield. Hattie Craig, Vice President for Education at the Guild of Students, is attending the conference on behalf of the association. She is also a member of a student housing co-op in Birmingham.
